When a system gets to the end of its life, patching it together only takes you so far. At some point, a full replacement is just the smarter move - better efficiency, better reliability, and no more wondering what's going to break next. That's exactly the situation we walked into on this one.

We put in a complete Goodman system from top to bottom. Outside, a 3-ton 14.3 SEER2 condenser sitting on a fresh pad. Inside the attic, a matching 3-ton evaporator coil paired with an 80,000 BTU 92% efficiency furnace. Every line set piped correctly, all the wiring handled clean, and the whole system tested before we called it done.

The 14.3 SEER2 rating matters more than people realize. That efficiency rating directly affects what you pay to run the system every month. Upgrading from an older, worn-out unit to a modern high-efficiency setup like this can make a noticeable difference on the utility bill - not just in summer, but any time the system is running.

A 92% AFUE furnace means 92 cents of every dollar you spend on gas actually goes toward heating your home. That's not a small thing when you're running heat through a cold stretch. Pairing a high-efficiency furnace with a properly sized condenser and coil is how you get a system that actually performs the way it should for years down the road.

Getting the sizing right - 3-ton condenser matched to a 3-ton coil - is something that gets overlooked more than it should in this industry. An oversized or undersized system causes problems no matter how good the equipment is. We take the time to make sure everything is spec'd correctly so the install holds up long-term.
